hola! we've been here 8 days. currently at Brownelea Apmts while The Husband settles his apartment stuff. by chance this place has wireless. earlier on took Ilhan to kick a ball around at a nearby park.
hmm...let's see. the flight went pretty well. i didnt drug ilhan - turned out i didnt have to; he feel asleep at the precise moment the plane was taking off from the runway. and slept for the next 3.5 hrs. he might still be an 'infant' by airline definition, but he couldn't fit into that bassinet in front of our seats and so i was immobilised for that 3 hrs. when he woke up we had another hour or so to go and the Wiggles set kept him occupied till he had it and started whining as we were landing. so all in all, it went ok.
but i think i deserve an SQ flight the next time we come here.
stayed put in perth for 3 days before we took a trip down south. went inland to hyden first - you can drive over 4 hours without passing another vehicle.
got slightly lost while hiking up Wave Rock. spent a night at a cabin in freezing tremperature. then moved on to Albany, Busselton for a coupla days and then back to Perth. the weather's been rather fine, slightly warmer in Perth, and windy cold down south.
i've forgotten how refreshingly laidback it is down here. doesn't make sense working so hard, does it? life in sg can get pretty insane sometimes.
looks like Ilhan is having a great time in Perth..how long will you be in Perth Aunty? Have fun!
ReplyDeleteah shucks... if I had known u are going to Albany I would have given you our family friend's number there. The whole family moved there from Singapore when the father married this Aussie meksalleh. Very nice religious people.
