a purple dinosaur

the past few days has been a mad rush of last-minute errands, cancelling of subscriptions, packing and more packing, and fulfilling family duties.

but we made time to head down to IMM last night to catch Barney at 7pm.

now why do i get the feeling that we were more excited about it than Ilhan was? there we were trying to hold him up high so he can see amidst the sea of dancing kids and kids-perched-on-tall-daddies-shoulder, and he didn't appear that impressed. i was the one singing and swaying to Mr Golden Sun and the whole medley of songs (yup..i've gone from screaming and swaying at Bon Jovi concert to this) and of course, the mother of all hymns, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family....."

and all the while Ilhan had this nonchalant look on his face.

oh well.

leaving for a staff retreat at Batam tomorrow, Ilhan and husband in tow. that's the good thing about being in this family-first institution.
